Cross country trip DAY 1: Cleveland, OH

My first destination was Cleveland, OH. It was the closest large city within a reasonable daily driving distance from Oyster Bay, NY where I originally resided. My car was fully packed, and I even had to leave behind my favorite printer due to lack of space :(

New York said goodbye to me with over a half an hour wait in traffic on GWB. Frustrated, but too determined to be on my way, I waited patiently. On the other hand, the drive was beautiful.

The only stop I planned on my way to Cleveland was Daffin's Candies, a well-recommended on Roadtrippers chocolate place in PA. It did not disappoint. The selection was fabulous!

My AirBnB host was nice, but rather demanding. I knew that when I first booked the room. She had a bunch of rules (over 10!), such as "must wear socks when walking at all times" and "don't touch my altar"... Strange, but was discussed upfront. The neighborhood left much to be desired. I parked my car on the street while a pot-smoking gentleman stared at me from his porch. No damage to the car or the man...
