Cross-country trip, DAY 2: Cleveland, OH to Chicago, IL

After a poor night of sleep and a bad cup of coffee at my AirBnB, I headed to Lake View Cemetery... No, it was not a destination trip this time, just a visit of one of the most popular places in Cleveland.

You would think that Cleveland then has nothing to show, but in reality Lake View Cemetery was a very peaceful and beautiful place, where you would want to spend at least a few hours. The weather was not perfect, but the rain kept the crowd away.

James Garfield's monument is also at Lake View:

My second stop was at Rocky River Reservation, just outside of Cleveland, OH. What a nice place in Cleveland! Short trails provide tranquility that you might want to escape from the city's noise and hustle and bustle. Since it was still drizzling, I opted out for a shorter walk. With nobody around me, the birds seemed all over the place, chirping and playing with each other.

Some nice lines...

Alone, but certainly not lonely with all these creatures around me!

Yeah... This was a weird resident of the Nature Center

It took me about 7 hours to get to Evanston, IL because of some traffic. I also had to wait another 40 minutes for my AirBnB host to get home, another unlucky experience with AirBnb that turned out just fine :)
