Cross-country trip DAY 6: Sioux Falls, SD to Rapid City, SD

Early in the morning I checked out from my historical room after a decent night of sleep and decided to get some coffee and breakfast. My AirBnb host recommended Coffea, a local coffee shop in the downtown. You can check out what I think of the place here. There was no real breakfast food there, so I headed to another place about one block away called MB Haskett Delicatessen, and here is what I had to say about it.

After breakfast I headed to my first destination for the day: The Falls Park. I generally like water-related sightseeing, but waterfalls are my weak spot. The park was moderately crowded at 10AM on Saturday, but I managed to find quieter places to take pictures.

Beautiful place, but a bit too crowded for my taste. I liked the history of the mill that was built on the falls, and the remaining ruins of it carefully preserved by the park department.

After about an hour and a half taking pictures I headed to my next destination: 1880 Town, a historical town where some scenes of "Dances with Wolves" was filmed.

That buffalo moved every time you passed by, freaked the hell out of me!

The rest of the town was filled with historical significance! Most houses were built in the late 1800's, and you just felt that presence of ghosts and old lost souls...

I spent there over an hour! The admission is only $12, but you get so much out of it.

Driving can be fun too, especially when the weather is nice. Don't make fun of me, but here is the video.

On the way to Rapid City, SD I also stopped at The Ranch Store. Even though it was still closed for the season, the staff kindly provided Prairie Dog Food for $1 in the bucket right by the store to feed the little critters. Oh how much I loved it! Here is a video.

Finally, when I reached Rapid City, SD, I was craving real food, so I went to Pacific Rim Cafe, a restaurant that was well rated on Yelp. I thought it was very good, but here is my brief review.
